On Saturday, February 4, 2017, Kyokushin World Champion, Dmitry Savelyev, conducted a seminar at the Westchester Kyokushin Karate dojo, located just north of New York City. The seminar lasted approximately three hours, and included various conditioning exercises and fighting strategy. Thirty participants attended the seminar, including karate practitioners from the Westchester Kyokushin dojo, the Brooklyn Kyokushin Karate Dojo under Sensei Raul Dueno, the IFK New Jersey dojo under Sensei's Artur Bobo and Kamil Maras, the NYC IFK dojo under Shihan Freddy Victoria, and the Kyokushin Karate Iwata dojo under Sensei Hiro Iwata.
