Sensei Steve Fogarasi  began martial arts training at the age of sixteen in Ludus, Romania.  He received his Shodan in Kyokushin Karate in 1996, and was awarded his Nidan in 2000.  By the age of eighteen, Steve had already become a well-acknowledged instructor in Romania.

Sensei Steve also competed in full-contact karate tournaments in Europe.  In 1999, he won the Romanian National Karate Championships, and in 2000 he came in second place.

In September of 2001, Sensei Steve moved to Denver Colorado, and began training in kickboxing, Muay Thai and Enshin Karate.  This further ignited his desire to teach.  To fulfill this desire, Sensei Steve founded Contact Kicks, where he offers instruction in Kyokushin Karate and kickboxing.

In August 2007, Sensei Steve successfully graded for his Sandan (3rd Dan) at the 2007 USA-IFKK Summer Training Camp with Hanshi Steve Arneil.
